Mrs. Martinez was raised in North Carolina and ended up in Lawton while serving in the United States Army. She attended Cameron University and obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Management. She managed multi-physician doctor offices before going back to school to get her teaching degree. She obtained a Master’s Degree in Arts and Teaching in Science and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership.
She has worked for Lawton Public Schools for 17 years. She taught regular education science classes before becoming certified in Special Education. She ran the Mall (Maximum Achievement Learning Lab) at EHS for many years before becoming an Assistant Principal. She has been an Assistant Principal for 6 years.
Mrs. Martinez has been married to Luis for 12 years. She has one son, Christian, that is in middle school. He is very active in tennis and the family spends a lot of time at matches and tournaments.
When she is not at work she enjoys spending time with family, attending sporting events for her son, going to OU football games with her husband and spending time with her church family at LFA.
