Hall passes are required for entrance into the Library/Media Center except during lunch periods, and before and after school. Food and beverages are not permitted in any part of the library.

Locating Materials: The card catalog is an automated system which allows students and faculty greater ease in locating materials. The system consists of 21 search stations which allow users to locate materials by author, subject, title, call number, series, and keywords.

All materials in the Library/Media Center are located by using the call number, which is located by using the automated card catalog system.

Borrowing Materials: Students may borrow materials for two weeks, and they may be rechecked as needed. Faculty may borrow materials for three weeks. Most reference materials may be checked out overnight.

Research Material: The EHS Library/Media Center provides access to over 110 periodicals through the EBSCO database through new computerized periodical software, UMI Proquest Resource One/Full Text. We also subscribe to approximately 25 periodicals in paper form.

Reference Materials: Our reference collection is designated by "R" at the top of the call number on the spine of materials. We have three sets of Encyclopedias which include: Britannica, Comptons, and World Book.

Career and College Information: The career and college information is located in the North area of the Library/Media Center. We have access to career related books and ACT, SAT, PSAT, ASVAB, and GED study guides. These may be checked out.

We also have links to colleges with a short description and a link to that website for our students. They are here.
