* All Seniors planning to attend college should take the ACT test- preferably more than once. Sophomores and Juniors may also take the test and it is recommended that they do so- but they should take their final ACT test as a Senior because this will usually result in higher test scores.

* October 16th is the deadline for those students wishing to take the PSAT test. Please register in the main office. October 18th is the PSAT date. Because school is out then and that day is Parent/Teacher conference day, students must provide their own transportation to and from school.

* OHLAP applications are on the bookshelf in the Guidance Center. If your parents earn $50,000 or less per year and you are a Sophomore, you may qualify for OHLAP which provides for free college tuition provided you meet specified requirements. Please come to Guidance and pick up an application form. Only 8,9, and 10th grade students may apply.

* Students need to pick up ACT registration packets now. You must have your paperwork in approximately one month before the actual test date. Here is a list of the test dates.
